WINTER WOES

Baby it’s cold outside! Spring is calling our names but all we see is white. It may snow every other day, and apparently ‘polar vortex’ is a thing, but that doesn't mean we have to stay indoors. Every Diva needs her social fix and needs to get out! Cabin fever is a real thing you know, and staying in doors for too long is bad for your mental health.

Inspired by the winter wonderland of white all around us, the trend of wearing white in any shade was born and so the term ‘winter whites’ came to be. Rules were meant to be broken, right? So say sayonara to no white pants or a bright white party dress after Labor Day law.

WINTER WHITES

Fashion blogger Bridgette Nicole with a blog of the same name tested out the winter white trend for herself.  Styling outfits is just a hobby and a means to express herself in a way she can’t during her day job as a first grade teacher. She lives in Utah with her husband, blogs by night, and loves to sing.

Bridgette Nicole featured our Sleeveless Rose Print Textured Peplum Dress in cream. This party dress features a round neckline, rose print textured material, double ruffle peplum at the waist and hits just below the knee giving the appearance of a long lean body. The dress’s stretchy material is form fitting and the texture is something special.

PARTY DRESS STYLE

The party dress looks fantastic on her and the peplum style really creates a great shape on her. On her blog, she said. “I love this peplum dress from Diva NY. It is the cutest dress just to throw on if you want to look fancy and all dolled up for winter.” She styled the dress with a Chanel style quilted beige bag, fur stole, and mixed media jewelry.

What we love the most is how Bridgette Nicole’s style is completely attainable. She knows how to get the look for less. For example, she says “my Chanel-like purse I thrifted, I am kinda obsessed. It still had the tags on it as well!” Now that is what we like to hear, who doesn't love a stylish deal?
